Co-washing is short for conditioner washing. It can help curly, coily, dry, or highly textured hair avoid over-cleansing while still refreshing the scalp and lengths.

It is not ideal for every scalp. Heavy styling products, dry shampoo, sebum buildup, or hard water may need a true shampoo or reset instead.
