Who writes the Guide

The RŌZ Team is a collaborative byline for RŌZ editors and haircare specialists. When a licensed stylist contributes to or reviews technique guidance, we identify that role on the relevant article or contributor page. Mara Roszak contributes styling perspective to selected Guide content. Every article carries a visible byline.

How articles are reviewed

Before publication, Guide articles are edited for clarity and reviewed for the type of guidance they contain. Technique-led articles may receive stylist review; product and ingredient statements are checked against current RŌZ product information and available supporting sources. We do not publish claims we cannot support.

How we handle facts and sources

Factual claims — about ingredients, mechanisms, or how products behave — are written to be supportable, and we link to sources where a claim benefits from evidence. We translate chemistry into plain language, qualify uncertainty, and distinguish cosmetic guidance from medical advice.

Our boundaries

• Cosmetic education, not medical care. The RŌZ Guide provides cosmetic haircare education, not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Hair loss, persistent scalp symptoms, sudden changes, and suspected reactions can have causes beyond haircare. Stop using a product that appears to cause a reaction and seek advice from an appropriate licensed healthcare professional.
• No pretending products do what they don't. RŌZ products appear in articles only where they genuinely answer the question at hand — and their limitations get named alongside their strengths.
• No undisclosed sponsorships. The Guide is published by RŌZ, full stop.

How updates work

Articles display their publication date and, when materially revised, an “Updated” date. We review pages when relevant product information or evidence changes; material corrections are reflected in the article.
